 ardo's virtual talk “Beyond the Monolingual Disposition: Plurilanguaging a
 s Empowerment” on October 29th, 2:10-3:00 pm. Dr. Enrica Piccardo is a Pr
 ofessor in the Languages and Literacies Education Program (Department of C
 urriculum, Teaching, and Learning) and the Head of the Centre for Educat
 ional Research in Languages and Literacies at OISE. Her research is centre
 d around Second/Foreign Language learning and teaching, plurilingualism a
 nd bi-/multilingualism, the impact of the Common European Framework of Re
 ference on language teaching and assessment, complexity theories, and cr
 eativity in language acquisition. The GLI is the collaborative effort of o
 ver 15 Departments, Programs, Colleges, Centres, and Institutes to inc
 rease access to second (and third) language instruction across disciplines
 . The GLI is committed to promoting intercultural competence and global fl
 uency, supporting the revitalization of lesser-taught and Indigenous lang
