Professor Walid Saleh elected as Vice President of the American Academy of Religion

Professor Walid Saleh has been elected as Vice President of the American Academy of Religion (AAR), the largest scholarly society dedicated to the academic study of religion.

The AAR's mission is to foster excellence in the academic study of religion and enhance the public understanding of religion. 

The Vice President serves for one year and, without additional elections, advances to President-Elect the next year and then to President the following year.
