Language Course Assessment Questionnaires for Introductory Language Courses

Courses: Arabic (NML110Y), Persian (NML260Y), Turkish (NML270Y1)

Students interested in enrolling in introductory language courses must complete the Language Assessment Questionnaire for their chosen language before enrollment. This ensures appropriate course placement based on your language background and proficiency.

Important: Enrollment will only be approved after your questionnaire is submitted and reviewed by the instructor. If further assessment is needed, the instructor will contact you for a follow-up interview. Students who do not complete the questionnaire will be removed from the course.

Academic Integrity

Misrepresenting your knowledge of a language is considered an academic offence and may result in serious consequences, including immediate removal from the course. Please refer to the Code of Behaviour on Academic Matters for more information.

“The University and its members have a responsibility to ensure that a climate which might encourage, or conditions which might enable, cheating, misrepresentation or unfairness not be tolerated. To this end, all must acknowledge that seeking credit or other advantages by fraud or misrepresentation, or seeking to disadvantage others by disruptive behaviour is unacceptable, as is any dishonesty or unfairness in dealing with the work or record of a student.”
