Take-home income for PhD students in NMC, years 1-5 (“funded cohort”):
In 2022-2023, the UTF fellowship guaranteed a take-home stipend of $19,500. However, the actual take-home income, after tuition and fees were paid, for NMC PhD students in the funded cohort was higher:

  • Mean: $27,495.19

These numbers include Teaching Assistant, Course Instructor, Research Assistant, and Research Trainee positions held in the NMC department, but do not include any additional employment outside of the NMC department.
