About Our Graduate Studies

The Department offers programs leading to the degrees of Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy in the study of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations.

The Department also participates in the following collaborative programs: The Book History & Print Culture Collaborative Specialization, Diaspora and Transnational Studies, Jewish Studies, Mediterranean Archaeology (PhD only), Sexual Diversity Studies, and Women and Gender Studies.

Upon successful completion of the requirements, a collaborative specialization will appear on the student’s transcript.
