Biography : 

Dr. Adam Ali received his first M.A. from the University of Western Ontario in History. He received his Second M.A. and PhD from the Department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations in Islamic history at the University of Toronto. His studies focus on military slavery, warfare, military traditions, and revolts in the pre-modern Muslim world. He has taught courses on the Arabic language at the beginner and intermediate levels at the St. George and Mississauga campus and has developed advanced reading Arabic courses at the Mississauga campus. He also teaches courses on various topics and themes in Islamic history including warfare, revolts, and slavery.

His research and work have been focused on warfare, military traditions, revolts, and violence in the pre-modern Muslim world. He currently teaches course on the Arabic language at the beginner and intermediate levels as well as courses on various themes and topics in Islamic history.
