Biography
Rachel is currently researching the role and significance that landscape, collective memory and imagination played in the formation of nationalistic identity and narrative traditions in 1 Samuel. She is particularly interested in the relationship between the peripheral regions outside royal/central authority, and how the geography of these peripheral regions influenced the scribal institutions of Judah and Israel.
