The Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies presents its Lecture Series: Women Poets with Gita Hashemi, Independent Artist.

Blurring the boundaries of artistic practices through constant experimentation, Toronto-based Gita Hashemi works in installation, performance, video, internet art and image-text, as well as curating and writing about culture and art. Hashemi's work is centered on marginalized histories and contemporary politics, often with an eye on woment's experience.
