The Elahé Omidyar Mir-Djalali Institute of Iranian Studies presents Iranian Studies Virtual Book Launch featuring The Other Side of Silence: A Memoir of Exile, Iran, and the Global Women's Movement by Mahnaz Afkhami.

Mahnaz Afkhami is the founder and president of the Women’s Learning Partnership and the Foundation for Iranian Studies Executive Director. Previously between 1976-1978, she was the Minister of Women’s Affairs in Iran and the Secretary General of the Women’s Organization of Iran (1970-1978).
