Description

Nowruz Festival of Women Poets 2022

Crafting and reciting poetry has been a vital part of everyday life in the Persian-speaking world for well over a millennium.
In celebration of Nowruz, a spring equinox festivity marking the traditional Iranian New Year, join us at the Museum for an afternoon of poetry, performance, and connection at the second annual Nowruz Festival of Women Poets.
Be inspired by rich and evocative poetic recitations and music in our auditorium and lobby, indulge in traditional Persian sweets and refreshments, and feast your eyes on glorious Iranian art on special curator-led tours of our galleries.
