Description

A series of first millennium BC cuneiform texts from Assyrian and Babylonian temple and private archives provides valuable information on religious ceremonies, their participants, and venues. This multi-faceted evidence allows network analysis across a wide range of case studies, bringing about complementary avenues of research: one can scrutinize the relations between tablets but also the relations between the actors and places referred to in the tablets in order to generate knowledge about religious hubs on micro-scale interactions.
